Jessica Bendinger, writer of Bring it On and Stick It, has a new novel, The Seven Rays, which is in talks of becoming Bendinger’s new feature-film. The Seven Rays is about Beth Michaels, a teenager who one day wakes up to discover she might have supernatural powers, and Richie Mac, the hottest guy in town who becomes obsessed with Beth and who must help her prove to her family and friends that she isn’t crazy, because who wouldn’t think a girl announcing she has supernatural powers wasn’t crazy?

And who do you think Jessica wants to play Richie? I’ll give you a hint: he was a gorgeous vampire on Twilight and looks amazing wearing nothing but a tank top? Kellan Lutz! Jessica loved having him on Stick It and she wants the handsome dude to play Beth’s complement. And who’s to play Beth you ask? I would love to see how he would do in this role, and it would do wonders for his career.

I love Selena Gomez, but she’s a tad too young to play a love interest of Kellan. Maybe someone a little bit older?!

I agree with the age thing. I’m not a huge fan of Selena, but I would watch for Kellan. Selena in Another Cinderella Story was acting opposite Drew Seeley who is 10 years older than her. So we are actually closer with Kellan. Though he does seem too old for her.

Well, while she might be a little young for him, she’s the same age as Taylor so it’s not so odd when you look at it that way. I think she just looks really young.

I don’t think Selena & Kellan would be good as love interests! As everyone else is saying. But as far as Kellan I would love to see him in this. I just bought the book earlier & can’t wait to read it.

I don’t really like Selena… I don’t think she’s a good actress, but who am I, right?

Anyway… she is REALLY too young, and I’m not pretty sure if that movie can success… It’s still a great opportunity for Kellan, and he sure deserves it.

I personally like Selena, I think she is adorable and is a pretty decent actress…and has anyone stopped to think that instead of Selena being to you for Kellan…that Kellan is too old for this role? I mean…Selena is right on target for this role as it represents kids in high school…and she is the perfect age to represent that…and in my opinion, I think the highschool role is getting over done for Kellan…

I don’t have a problem with the age differences, it is acting after all. I just htink Selena looks very young. There are guys in high school that look older than Kellan. But I do agree I would like to see him play roles that are a little older, he is at a stage where he needs to transition to characters that are a little bit older.

I think they should get another actor to play the leading man instead of Kellan he has flimed two movies already were he plays a high school kid. Has for Selena this role will be good for her. I think they need to find another guy thro maybe like Nathan Keyes.

I think Selena is perfect for the role.
Age difference isn’t such a big deal in the movie biz. There are lots of older actors who take on younger roles and vice-versa.
What’s the big deal.
