One of the biggest movies of the year, “New Moon,” is now out on DVD and Ellen wanted to talk about it, but she thought it would be best if she had one of the stars of the movie here — Kellan Lutz!

Last weekend at TwiTour in Los Angeles, Kellan talked about his beloved dogs and fooling the paps.

The paparazzi like to photograph Kellan Lutz running with his dog and even picking up dog poop. But there’s one place the shutterbugs will never catch the Twilight star with his dog: the airport.

“I couldn’t put [rescue dog] Kola underneath a plane. I would feel bad for that,” he recently told reporters at a Twilight fan convention in Los Angeles. “Stuff could happen.” If something went wrong, Lutz says, he “would kill someone. I don’t know what I would do.”

Lutz is very attached to Kola and his newest pooch, Kevin, both of whom regularly appear alongside the actor in gossip magazines and websites. “I live in an area where it’s very easy to know when I leave my place,” he explains, “so [the paparazzi] hide out and follow [me].”

Given the popularity of the Twilight franchise, Lutz understands why the paparazzi follow his every move. But “when they take pictures of [me] at the dog park picking up dog poop every single day, it’s like, come on,” he laughs. “But I’m starting to learn that if I wear the same clothes, though, they can’t sell the pictures, because it looks like it’s from the same day. That’ll teach them!”

Underwear model and Twilight vampire Kellan Lutz turned 25 yesterday and was surprised with a soiree at his Sherman Oaks house.

The bash was planned by his brother, who asked guests to park down the street to avoid Kellan catching on.

“It was just his close friends and family,” a source tells me of the low-key evening. “They had a BBQ and drinks and asked guests to bring something, too.”

Brittany Snow and her boyfriend attended the bash, but Kellan’s on-off girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord wasn’t there.

How come?

She’s currently in Cambodia on a charity trip, according to her Twitter.

Kellan got the party started early last weekend with some help from Twilight costar Ashley Greene when they hit Coco de Ville Friday night with a group of friends and drank Moet champagne and Belvedere vodka.

Taylor Blue back again for another installment of The ‘K’ Factor. Today I have a Kellan Lutz birthday hangover. I was so excited about his birthday that I really didn’t get anything else done. Yesterday marked my own personal mark too. I had vowed last year on his birthday that I would get his name out there. I mean come on, he is the sexiest vampire of all. I would choose Kellan over anyone else.

Now the picture I picked really made me excited and I think it will fit with my own personal birthday wish for Kellan that goes something like this.

Dear Kellan,

I hope you had a happy birthday yesterday. I kept my Calvin Klein ad background of you on my computer showing all day. I admit that I was too busy staring at that and didn’t get much work done. But does it matter? I mean I drooled all over my keyboard and it shorted out. But does that matter? I had the dishes pile up and the house stayed a mess. But does that matter?  I plotted ways that I would try and steal that huge billboard that they have up of you. But does that matter?

All that doesn’t matter because I (and many others) know that you are amazing and the source of most of my amazing writing (that must mean you are my muse!). Thank you for being amazing and I know you have a great future ahead of you. I hope all your birthday wishes came true yesterday. (Well I guess they all didn’t since I’m still here!)
