While you’ve already seen most of it in the second trailer, beyond the break you’ll find the the first clip from A Nightmare on Elm Street that features the opening diner sequence shown at the Wonder Con this past weekend. Arriving in theaters April 30, a group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger (Jackie Earle Haley), a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another…but when they sleep, there is no escape.

‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ Exclusive Clip Description
Posted by Nadine • No Comments »

An exclusive clip from ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ was show at WonderCon 2010 before the Q&A. Here is the footage description. SPOILER ALERT!!!

Footage Description:

Prior to the cast Q&A, the studio played an exclusive clip from the film that shows a young guy named Dean (played by Twilight’s Kellan Lutz) sitting alone in a diner. When he becomes aware of this he gets up to survey the situation, which leads him to the back kitchen where he has an encounter with Krueger, who lunges out with the iconic glove with bladed fingers. When Dean realizes he’s cut, he flashes back into the wakeful realm. Suffice it to say, situation does not end well for him.

The clip was basically an extended cut of the opening scene of the trailer.

The new A Nightmare on Elm Street will be released in theaters on April 30, 2010.

Kellan Lutz Calls A Nightmare on Elm Street “Scary”
Posted by Nadine • No Comments »

This is from ReelzChannel:

Lutz will actually play Dean, one of Freddy’s potential victims, and while he didn’t give out any spoilers, he did promise that the movie will be scary.

It’s really cool to be a part of something that now, since all our minds are so corrupted with blood, guts and gore, that this generation, it takes something special to scare our generation now. It’s revamped. And where 10 years ago, someone just knocking on the door, you’re like “Oh, w-who is that?” You know, what Nightmare on Elm Street is gonna show, it’s scary. If you guys haven’t seen the trailer, you know, how it’s shot and the things that you will see from the movie will scare you. And it’s a great psychological thriller.

Kellan Talks Nightmare on Elm Street
Posted by Nadine • No Comments »

From About.com:

Although the LA press day for New Moon was focused 99.9% of the time on all things Twilight, A Nightmare on Elm Street came up during the press conference Lutz was a part of. When asked about the dream sequences and what audiences can expect from the 2010 film, Lutz joked that his character actually becomes the steel-gloved killer.

“It’s great. I kill Jackie Earle Haley and take away his glove and sweater — the sweater itches,” said Lutz, laughing. “No. You know what? It’s such a blessing to be a part of something that for me, I grew up with. And a lot of things scared me growing up – mainly my brothers picking on me. But as far as Jason or Chucky, I had a Chucky doll, like those things didn’t scare me. But Freddy Krueger, there’s something… It’s this psychological thriller that can take you in your dreams, you know? It’s something that you can’t physically take care of on your own. You know, working with Platinum Dunes guys, I mean, Brad Fuller, and Andrew [Form], they’re great. And to work with Sam [Bayer], the director. And then the great cast: Thomas Dekker was always pumped on Red Bull every day, [Rooney] Mara’s great, Kate Cassidy has been a great friend of mine forever. And meeting Michael Bay was so cool.”
