Summit announced that the New Moon 2 disc special edition DVD and special edition Blu-ray will be released on March 20th. Here is a list of the bonus features on the special edition.

The hype has been building for “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” for months–and the initial reports indicate the eagerly-awaited supernatural movie is putting up blockbuster box office numbers.

According to early estimates from Hollywood.com, Summit Entertainment’s “New Moon,” which opened on Friday at 12:01 a.m., posted the largest opening-day box office gross on record, taking in $72.7 million on its first day. That beats out “The Dark Knight” (Warner Bros.) which took in $67.2 million on its opening day in 2008, and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” (Paramount) which brought in $62 million on its first day earlier this year.

NewTeeVee reports the following.

MySpace will exclusively host a live-stream of the red carpet activities before the premiere of the new installment, Twilight Saga New Moon, the site announced today. The video goes live at 6 p.m. PT on Monday, Nov. 16.

MySpace said it will pick one lucky fan to co-host red carpet interviews alongside Anya Marina, writer and performer of the song Satellite Heart from the New Moon soundtrack. Other fans will be able to participate via questions posed online to the stream and later, live chats with the cast during the film’s opening week (it actually comes out to the public Nov. 20).

Kellan didn’t meet the Volturis in ‘New Moon’, but he is glad to have known them in ‘Eclipse’:

In a recent interview with MTV, Kellan Lutz seemed to be in high spirits as he talked about meeting the Volturi Vampires on the set of Eclipse. Lutz said, “They’re really cool. It’s interesting to finally meet them.” Wait, what?

As Lutz explained, “I didn’t have the time to meet them when we were shooting New Moon because the shooting schedules were different.” In movies, scenes are often shot out of order and out of sequence. This means actors who are not in scenes together might never meet each other!

According to Lutz, this can be a strange experience. He said, “It’s so weird being an actor in something and not being a part of the whole cast feeling.” We are so glad that Lutz finally got a chance to meet the Volturi Vamps. No matter how dark the drama gets, Twilight fans can know that there are no hard feelings on set.
