As you all know Kellan is on the cover of the July/August issue of Men’s Health Magazine which goes on sale June 29th. Here is part of the cover story.

Kellan Lutz‘s abs epiphany came during an eighth-grade graduation party at a water park. “Before then, I never knew abs were attractive,” he says. “Where I grew up in Arizona, you would never see anyone without a shirt on at school. But when I took off my shirt, all the girls were, like, ‘Oh, look at your abs!’ And I was, like, ‘Yeah!’ ”

Psychologists call this “positive reinforcement.” And Lutz instinctively knew what to do: Stay active.

It’s understandable to be ticked off by Lutz‘s looks, which are great despite the deathly pallor of his vampire character in the Twilight flicks. Men resent other men who are that good-looking and that fit. It seems too easy.

But it wasn’t. The 25-year-old’s advantage was an early love of athletics, but he’s had to put in constant effort to maintain his physique. He played football in high school (plus trombone in the marching band–a hell of a timemanagement trick), hit the gym regularly for years, and considered becoming a Navy SEAL. One of the reasons he attended Chapman University was its location–near the beach.

If only we’d made fitness part of our lifestyle as kids, then….But there’s no reason we can’t start now.

Hell, Lutz‘s workout regimen had been an unfocused mishmash for years–until he filmed the HBO series Generation Kill in 2007. How do a bunch of guys stuck in the African desert kill time for 7 months? They do exactly what you and your friends should do: challenge one another. In Lutz‘s case, that involved pushup and situp contests and lifting weights in a makeshift gym. One fellow actor, a former pole vaulter named Rich McDonald, offered Lutz some helpful tips; now they’re regular training buddies.

Fans are used to seeing … ahem, a little more of the Eclipse star, 25, in his CK underwear ads – not that he minds. “I won’t lie about it,” says the actor, who trained and stopped eating candy to shape up for the shoot. “I started getting text messages … people were always commenting on the billboard and asking for pictures for their daughters.”

7jours reports the arrival of Kellan in Montreal for the shooting of his upcoming movie, Immortals:

Kellan Lutz arrived in Montreal Monday, June 14, to start shooting his next film. The interpreter of Emmett Cullen in the Twilight Saga embodies the god Poseidon in Immortals, to be released in 2011.

The 25-year-old American finds himself in the studios of Mel’s Cité du Cinema in Montreal. The film, which depicts a battle of Theseus against the Titans also stars Mickey Rourke, Isabel Lucas and John Hurt. It also stars Freida Pinto – the star of Slumdog Millionaire – in the role of Phedre.

In addition, the wrestler Robert Maillet, originally from New Brunswick – who had a role in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes – is dressed and transformed to embody the Minotaur, a monster trapped in the labyrinth by King Midas.

For a budding action star who’s had about five minutes off in the last six months, Kellan Lutz may be a lot closer to the aisle than you think.

Blame “Love, Wedding, Marriage,” the romantic comedy he just wrapped with costar Mandy Moore.

“It really does kind of open my eyes as to what’s important in marriage and what keeps people together,” Lutz said of the flick, which features his first romantic leading-man turn, as a straight-laced newlywed.

“I love marriage. I really want to be married and have it last for the right reasons and know that she’s the one for me. And I want to do it out of love, not insecurities or dependence.”

Lutz is dating “90210″ actress AnnaLynne McCord, but of late has been laser-focused on his movie multitasking. This month sees Lutz promoting “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” and filming the Greek mythology blockbuster “Immortals.”

Enjoying their time in Los Angeles for the Twilight convention, the stars of Eclipse were spotted chatting and smoking on their hotel balcony yesterday (June 13).

Kellan Lutz, Kristen Stewart, Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, and Ashley Greene all convened on the outdoor terrace for a cigarette break as fans and paparazzi looked on.

The winnipegfreepress.com reports that Kellan as well as Ashley Greene and Xavier Samuel from ‘The Twilight Saga’ are going to attend the MuchMusic Video Awards on June 20th.

A MuchMusic Video Awards red carpet without Twilight actors would be like a day without dawn, Christmas without presents or vampires without sparkles.

So, it is with great delight — but no surprise — that we can report Twilight Saga: Eclipse co-stars Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Xavier Samuel have sent their RSVPs to the annual awards show/screaming contest. The trio will present awards at the 2010 MMVAs — and if we’re lucky, maybe Lutz will also present the viewing public with a glimpse of his six-pack.

But wait, there’s more. Jersey Shore castmates Snooki and Pauly D will also be handing out hardware at the June 20 show, as will Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev, The Hills’ Kristin Cavallari and The City’s Whitney Port. Tween idols Miranda Cosgrove and Emily Osment will be there as will some of the stars of The Secret Life of the American Teenager — Shailene Woodley, Daren Kagasoff and Megan Park. Perez Hilton and Girlicious are also expected to be there.

And, since most of the trophies doled out at the MMVAs have some tangential connection to music, there’ll also be several pop stars giving away awards: Bedouin Soundclash, Nikki Yanofsky, Lights, Three Days Grace, Faber Drive, Cobra Starship, Karl Wolf and JLS.

There’ll even be music — MMVA nominees Stereos will be giving an acoustic performance straight from the red carpet.

The 2010 MMVAs take place June 20, 8 p.m. on MuchMusic.

Wet, clothed, shirtless or fanged — we like Kellan Lutz no matter how he looks! His Twi-hard fans agree, apparently, because they go to crazy lengths to be close to the Eclipse star!

“I had one [fan] try to handcuff herself to me and she wanted to take me home,” the 25-year-old Twilight star hunk Da Man magazine of his craziest fan encounter. “I thought she was joking, but she had really brought along some handcuffs.”

But the fun doesn’t stop there, oh no!

“And then another time, these fans found out where my hotel was and I was showering as they knocked on the door. I thought it was one of my co-stars so I answered it with only a towel on, and there they are saying, ‘hey Kellan…’”

Aside from these two instances, the Calvin Klein underwear model is quick to add, “But they are always great, so respectful. They’re amazing!”

Remember when you were 13 years old and you had your favorite cute teen actors hanging on your bedroom wall? I remember begging my mother to buy BOP and Tiger Beat just so I could rip out Andrew Keegan and Devon Sawa and stare at them imagining what our beautiful kids would look like. Well I would say that today teenie boppers fantasize about the HOT men of Twilight Saga: Eclipse – and some adults too! Mainly we’ve got Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz (or at least in my partial opinion).
