What would the ‘Twilight’ cast take home from set?
Posted by Jullie • 1 Comment »

That’s what InStyle.com has asked that to the cast, and you can read the answers below:

Robert Pattinson: “I keep everything from the set. I’ve stolen all of Edward’s clothes.”

Kellan Lutz: “Emmett’s Jeep! I’ve wanted it since we shot the first movie. I keep saying that, but nothing’s happened. I’m still waiting!”

Xavier Samuel: “Vampires dress really well, so it would have to be Riley’s jacket. When you run it’s a bit flamboyant, but it looks good. I recommend running in those jackets.”

Tinsel Korey: “My relationship with everybody from set. We get along like a real family. Our relationship is special.”

Taylor Lautner: “All my character wears is jean shorts, so I’ll have to go with those. That’s my only option!”

Kellan Was The Action Stunt ‘Guinea Pig’ On The Set Of ‘Eclipse’
Posted by Nadine • No Comments »

From MTV:

Despite how much we love the Cullens, they really lose a lot of screen time in “The Twilight Saga” to the love story between Bella and Edward. That leaves the actors cast in the roles without too much to do in the earlier films, and is one of the reasons Kellan Lutz said they were most looking forward to “Eclipse.”

“It sucks that I can’t rewrite the books and add more dialogue for Emmett, because I really do have more action scenes than dialogue. So it’s great when ‘Eclipse’ came around, ’cause I do love the book the best, and I think it just had such a great mix of the romance and the action and the collaboration of the two,” he told MTV News.

And though Kellan does like receiving lines as Emmett, he also confessed that he just loves to do the action sequences.

“I just love doing my own stunts. I love stunt work,” he said. “I love to work, so it’s really great when Emmett’s in there, and he’s there to fight. So I really just loved doing stunts.”

Fortunately there are a lot of those in “Eclipse,” but Kellan actually ended up getting a bit more work than what appears on the big screen.

Celebrity Q&A Examiner Interview with ‘Eclipse’ Cast
Posted by Nadine • No Comments »

Celebrity Q&A Examiner got the chance to talk to some of the cast of ‘Eclipse’ including Kellan. You can read part of it below.

What can you say about “Eclipse” that takes the “Twilight” saga to the next level? Why should people see “Eclipse”?
Lutz: I love action movies. I’m a guy’s guy. When I read the books, “Twilight” I was really intrigued with, and I wanted to see where the story went. “New Moon,” I was like, “All right, this is getting sappy. I can see where the girls are going to love this one.” And quickly, the demographic is growing and growing, and this movie ["Eclipse"] — just seeing the trailers, my guy friends who haven’t seen the first two ["Twilight"] movies, they’re like, “Oh my God! ‘Eclipse’ looks awesome! Look at those fight scenes!” And I think the guys are going to be pulled into this movie. And then the hater Twi-girls who don’t want to jump on the bandwagon, the guys are going to bring their girlfriends to that. It’s just captivating the world, which is really cool to see.

Are you more comfortable with the body movements that your “Twilight” characters have to have in each movie?
Lutz: I think that’s the best part. A lot of actors I know get tired of the characters that they play, because there’s nothing new about them. But with our ["Twilight"] characters, we get to make them our own, in a way, and yet stay true to what ["Twilight" author] Stephenie [Meyer wrote]. We have her as a great resource, but then we can add our own. Like I can add Kellan into Emmett. And then we have directors. David [Slade, director of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"] allowed us to show vampires in a new level, with the technology and the way he wanted to capture the fight sequences and the vampiric speed. It’s really cool. It’s so fresh.

‘Eclipse’ Premiere: Kellan and Ashley love Twilight as much as us
Posted by Jullie • No Comments »

From Ok.com:

TWILIGHT Saga: Eclipse stars Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz love Twilight as much as we do!

[...]

Kellan added: “You tend to fall in love with your characters. Eclipse was my favourite book. I love Emmett Cullen and it’s going to be sad when you close a chapter to this book.

“It’s been a huge part of our lives, we’re a family unit on and off set. It’s been a blessing to be part of this franchise.

And the hunky star admits he’ll hasn’t seen the film before tonight.

He said: “I’ve been really impressed by all the action and I can’t wait to see it for the first time tonight.”

Kellan also revealed that he hit co-star Jackson Rathbone so hard during filming that he passed out.

He said: “Some of my best moments were with Jackson. I had an oopsy daisy moment when I hit him and knocked him out a little bit during one our fight sequences. Off set he was a little mischievous Jackson. He thinks he just take the world on and we’d get into trouble off set. It was some fun times.”

AskMen.com Interview with Kellan
Posted by Nadine • No Comments »

AskMen.com posted a new interview they did with Kellan. Part of it is below.

AskMen.com : Twilight seems to capture the feeling of being teenagers. It’s incredibly passionate.
Kellan Lutz : The first one was all about Edward and that type of love, and Jacob — in the second — with werewolves, the guy who is always, “Come one, date me! Date me!” Will she pick the good guy or the bad guy? It’s a good love triangle, a good mix, something we all encounter, at different points in time.

AM : The series plays up so many aspects of love but it’s never explicit.
KL : It’s really quite unique. My sister’s starting high school, and it’s taught her a lot. It really teaches the lessons that mothers and fathers don’t have to — the birds and bees. It teaches you that you can wait for sex. Go for love and patience. Each story grows in maturity on different subjects. It’s really nice how it brings everyone in. Even the Twilight mums get all giddy again like schoolgirls; it brings them back to those days of being lovestruck and uncertain. It’s really cool what Stephenie Meyer has created.

AM : You transformed yourself physically, even the way you speak. Did you work from anything beyond the script to make Emmett your creation?
KL : Yes, I try to do something different with my voice and just tap into Emmett. I made my own backstory and having Stephenie there is nice — she’s the best backstory ever. I read different fans remarks — they know so much about Twilight. It’s great to just do the homework… I step into the big brother role which I haven’t played too much, but I’m one of eight, and have six brothers and I was a big brother to my twin younger brothers, so it’s great to step in those shoes again. It’s fun. It is really fun.

‘Eclipse’ Has ‘A Great Mix Of Romance And Action’
Posted by Nadine • No Comments »

From MTV:

Kellan Lutz definitely has the build to pull off the most intense action scenes in “Eclipse,” and the actor knows that the third “Twilight Saga” flick is Emmett Cullen’s time to shine.

“I just love doing my own stunts,” he told MTV News. “I love stunt work. It sucks that I can’t rewrite the books and add more dialogue for Emmett, because I really do have more action scenes than dialogue. So it’s great when ‘Eclipse’ came around, ’cause I do love the book the best, and I think it just had such a great mix of the romance and the action and the collaboration of the two.

“I love to work, so it’s great when Emmett’s in there, and he’s there to fight,” he added. “So I really just loved doing stunts.”

When ideas were brewing about how to make the stunts happen in “Eclipse,” Lutz was the go-to guy for experimentation.

“The producers know I like doing the stunts so much, to the point where they make me the guinea pig,” he laughed. “So we were doing this treadmill running sequence, so you’re wearing these contacts and you’re breathing in exhaust from the truck, and it’s cold as hell up there, and you’re trying to run and not pant, ’cause I’m a vampire.”

TSR Exclusive – interview with Kellan, Ashley and Jackson
Posted by Nadine • No Comments »

The Scorecard Review posted an exclusive interview Kellan, Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone.

Kellan, you and Jackson get to fight a little bit more in the training sequence. Is that wires? Is that GC? How are they pulling that one off?
Jackson: There’s a bit of wires.
Kellan: Yeah, when you threw me. So far. [Kellan rolls his eyes]
Bayer: Yeah, how does it feel to be the biggest one and constantly get knocked down?
Kellan: I love being the biggest one. It’s great. It’s what I live for. No, the training is great. The fighting is great. Fighting along side big white cardboard cut outs is quite funky I guess.

Man/woman, it doesn’t matter. What other character from the Twilight series would you like to play?
Ashley: Victoria. I think she’s the most evil character in the series.
Kellan: The tree Rob climbs up [laughter]. There’s a lot of history there.
Jackson: Oh man, I have to say Charlie Swan. It’s just the mustache for me.

What did you eat for breakfast?
Kellan: Bowl of berries and a fruit smoothie
Ashley: A power bar
Jackson: Bloody Mary [laughter] … just kidding. A fruit place or something

ctv.ca posted the following report.

[...] Kellan Lutz, who plays the hunky vampire Emmett, says he’s bent on becoming an action star, especially after tackling the over-the-top physical stunts of “Eclipse,” which climaxes with a high-flying battle between vampires and werewolves.

The 25-year-old has been working non-stop since finding fame in the Twilight series, scoring parts in the “Nightmare on Elm Street” reboot earlier this year, as well as the upcoming Mandy Moore romantic comedy, “Love, Wedding, Marriage,” the Samuel L. Jackson thriller, “The Killing Game” and the drama “Warrior,” also starring Greene.

He says he’s most excited about the fantasy feature, “Immortals,” in which he plays the Greek god Poseidon alongside Mickey Rourke, John Hurt and Freida Pinto.

“To work with Tarsem (Singh, whose previous directing credits include ‘The Cell’), that’s always been a goal of mine because I’ve been obsessed with his movies,” says Lutz, also the new face of Calvin Klein underwear.
